Aircraft announces the appointment of Bryan Morton as Chairman (Press Release)

EDINBURGH, MARCH 31, 2009 - Aircraft Medical, the UK medical devices company, today announces the appointment of Bryan Morton to the role of Chairman. Bryan had been a non-Executive Director of the Company since early 2006.

Bryan has 30 years of commercial, business development and general management experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, including many years with Merck & Co Inc. and Bristol Myers Squibb’s ConvaTec, He has extensive international experience based in the US, the UK, Belgium and Australia.

Bryan is the founder and CEO of EUSA Pharma Inc, the transatlantic specialty pharmaceutical company focused on in-licensing, developing and marketing late-stage oncology, pain control and critical care products. Founded in 2006, EUSA Pharma has 250 specialist staff and is operating in 45 countries.

Prior to founding EUSA in 2006, Mr Morton was the CEO of Zeneus Pharma, which he founded following the $120m acquisition of Elan Corp’s European business. Zeneus was subsequently acquired by Cephalon in late 2005 for $360m after two highly successful years of rapid growth and profitable trading.

Between 1999 and 2003, Bryan was President of ConvaTec, EMEA, Bristol-Myers Squibb’s medical device and wound care business which was sold to Nordic Capital and Avista Capital Partners in 2008. Before joining ConvaTec, Bryan held various senior positions at Merck & Co Inc., most recently as head of the European office. Bryan holds an MBA from the University of Durham and a BSc in Pharmacology from the University of Aberdeen.
