Aircraft grants exclusive distribution rights to partners in the Asia Pacific region (Press Release)

EDINBURGH, Sept 29, 2009 - Aircraft Medical, the UK medical devices company, today announces that it has signed exclusive agreements with seven distributors in Asia, to distribute the McGRATH® Series 5, the world’s first fully portable video laryngoscope.
Aircraft has been exploring expansion opportunities in the Asia Pacific region since the launch of the McGRATH® Series 5 in its home markets. Distribution in the region expanded significantly after the Company attended the HospiMedica Exhibition in Singapore in September 2008 and met with a number of prospective distributors.
Aircraft has signed exclusive agreements with distributors in Hong Kong (AirTec), South Korea (Pacific Medical), Taiwan (Biotronic), Singapore (IDS), Malaysia (ITL Healthcare), Indonesia (IDS) and Thailand (Pacific Healthcare). The first hospital sales have already been recorded in the region.
Clinician awareness of the benefits of video laryngoscopy has been growing in the Asia Pacific region in recent years. The portability, robustness, narrow extendable blade and inventive design of the McGrath Series 5 have been the main points of interest from clinicians.
